artistic wire 24 gauge - non-tarnish silver

Beadalon supplies high-quality wire under the name 'Artistic Wire'. It can be divided into a few different base materials: copper, stainless steel and brass. Most Artistic Wire colors are originally made of copper, with a colored layer. The advantage of artistic wire is that the color layer is less likely to be damaged. The diameter is stated in gauges. The higher the number, the thinner the wire.

Artistic Wire colors are very consistent, though perfect color matching is not always possible. When comparing different gauges of the same color, some color variation may be noticeable. Some Artistic Wire hues have a tint range within +-10%, which they consider acceptable.

If you want to be sure the colors in your order will match, please leave a remark when placing your order so that we can take this into account when gathering your order. When this is not possible, we will contact you via e-mail or phone.

Colortype Coated silverplated copper

The base material of this color type is copper. This type of metal is soft to bend and is also called dead soft/soft. These wires are made by first plating the copper wire with a precision layer of pure silver. Next a layer of enamel color + a clear tarnish resistant coating is added on top of this silver plating. The silver plating beneath the color adds an incredible high-shine and makes the colors extra vibrant.
